San Pedro de Alcantara was established in the 1860s as an agricultural community. The Parish Church, which was erected in 1866, provides a showcase of the colonial architecture. You may also want to visit Las Bovedas, which dates back to the third century. The Roman bathhouse features multiple rooms around the octagonal pool. Just a short distance from Playa de Linda Vista and Playa de San Pedro de Alcantara is the Basilica. Surrounded by tall eucalyptus trees, the Basilica is considered to be one of the most important archaeological sites in all of Spain.
