What Does Guadalmina Golf Club Have to Offer?
Guadalmina Golf Club has a rich history and holds the distinction of being the second-oldest club in the Costa del Sol region. It first opened its doors in 1959, offering just nine holes, with a course designed by Javier Arana. By the time the 1960s drew to a close, the club's course had been extended to include 18 holes. The 10th and 11th holes are especially stunning--and challenging. They face dazzling vistas of the sea, and their fairways are lined with armies of mature trees.
A second course was added to the lineup in 1973. It came to be known as the North Course, while the older green was dubbed the South Course. Designed by Falco Nardi, the North Course is the more forgiving of the two, but it still comes with many challenges and tight places. In 2002, both courses were given a top-to-bottom overhaul that made them even more attractive and appealing. Both courses have par ratings of 72.
