Casa Eladio
Marbella is home to restaurants that offer exemplary traditional-style Spanish meals. One of the most noted of these restaurants is Casa Eladio.
Dine at Casa Eladio
This eatery's origins date back to 1961, when it was launched as a tapas bar by its founder, D. Eladio Cabello Serrano. By 1965, this bar had blossomed into a full-fledged restaurant. Today, Casa Eladio remains under family ownership. It's owned and operated by D. Jose Eladio Cabello Santaella, the son of its founder.
Casa Eladio is joined to the walls of Marbella's 9th-century Arab castle. Its quaint decor combines modern touches with classic motifs typical of homes in the Andalusian region. Those who long for a taste of old-time Spain will love its menu. Casa Eladio offers dishes like Iberian cured sausages, tuna Cadiz-style and a host of Spanish classics. In spring, summer and early fall, these dishes may be enjoyed outdoors on a street terrace wrapped in bougainvillea, jasmine and dama de noche.
A wide selection of Spanish wines is also offered. Prices at Casa Eladio tend to be somewhat average for the area--not terribly cheap, but not hugely expensive, either. The restaurant is open every day of the week, except for Thursdays. It's open from noon to 3:30 p.m., closing for a few hours before reopening from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
